Noida and Greater Noida will be on the tourist map of Uttar Pradesh soon

Night safari project along the Yamuna Expressway is expected to become a reality

Soon, Noida and Greater Noida will be on the tourist map of Uttar Pradesh. The state government has decided to turn the twin cities into a recreation and tourism zone.

“We have identified some places in Noida and Greater Noida, which could be developed as tourist destinations,” Abhilash Sharma, regional director of UP Tourism told HT on Sunday.

“Dronacharya temple at Dankaur along the Yamuna Expressway can be developed as a tourist spot. People were unable to reach the place due to poor connectivity.

Now the expressway has provided the connectivity. We have asked the officials to plan a proper link road to the temple,” said Sharma. “It is said that guru Dronacharya had refused to teach Eklavya, who was a bheel by caste.

Eklavya had cast stone as Guru Drona and started practising on his own. The stone is still present at the ancient temple,” said Sharma. “At Bisrakh, there is a Shiv temple.
